About Us

Cadence Medical Group was founded in 2017 by Dr. Prashanth Tamragouri with a clear purpose: to address the significant gap in psychiatric care across hospitals and long-term care settings. Patients with significant psychiatric needs, depression, anxiety, behavioral disturbances, and serious mental illness often lack consistent access to a psychiatric provider who understands the realities of inpatient and post-acute care.

Rather than asking these patients to navigate the system alone, Cadence goes directly into the facilities where they are already being treated. Today, a dedicated team of psychiatric providers serves hospitals and care facilities across the greater Chicago area, bringing that same commitment to accessible, high-quality psychiatric care to every patient and every setting.

Our mission is bring expert, compassionate psychiatric care to patients wherever they are, across hospitals and care facilities alike, ensuring that quality mental health care is never out of reach. We believe psychiatric care deserves the same rigor, consistency, and attention as any other area of medicine, no matter the setting a patient is in.

Our Values

Our Approach

Cadence works as an extension of your care team. Our providers visit your facility or hospital on site, get to know your patients and staff, and build the kind of continuity that leads to better outcomes and easier coordination. We communicate directly with nursing and medical staff, document clearly, and stay accessible when questions or concerns come up between visits.

Our philosophy is simple: psychiatric care should meet patients where they are, both literally and clinically. That means recognizing the unique needs of adult and geriatric populations across hospital and long-term care settings, practicing with patience and precision, and never treating a patient’s mental health as secondary to their physical health.

When you partner with Cadence, you can expect a responsive, specialized clinical team that shows up reliably, communicates clearly, and treats your organization as a true partner. You can expect support in meeting regulatory and quality requirements, fewer avoidable psychiatric related transfers, and a team that genuinely cares about the wellbeing of your patients.
